To me, the whole thing with the finger-unders between the legs, antiquated.

I'm scared.

And weird.

The whole thing is freaking silly.

It's a big decision, but it's actually a fairly simple one.

You either extend Jalen Brown or you trade him.

And the issue with trading him is that you will not get good value,

because once you trade him, he cannot get the Supermax extension,

which means he's kind of unlikely to extend.

So a team negotiating with the Celtics would potentially be negotiating for a rental.

So I'm going to tell you the Celtics have done this arithmetic already, and I think they're

headed for signing Jaylen Brown to that Supermax contract.

And then they have a two-year window before he and Jason Tatum would actually get the big

dollars together where they can figure out whether or not this pairing works.

It's not the time to make the big decision.

I realize that Jalen Brown did not look good at the end of this series.

I realize that the Celtics missed an opportunity this year to get back to the finals, but it is not

the moment to break them up, and I don't think they're headed that direction at all.
