someone in your, your past that inspired you.

I'll tell you one of the places I didn't expect to find it was in a former monk.

That's who we're talking to today.

A former monk, his name is Jay Shetty.

I think Jay speaks so much wisdom in a world that's incredibly noisy and where

we've got all kinds of feedback. Jay Shetty does an amazing job of speaking the truth. If you're

new to Jay Shetty's work, he was a monk for a number of years. Born and raised in the UK,

lived the life of a monk. And in his own words, he says, when I trained as a monk, I found that monks were more able to remain centered and

calm amidst all of the chaos. And now more than ever before, to me, that sounds like

something we all should have skills in.

One of the reasons I started paying attention to Jane's work, a number of years ago,

where I saw his podcast, I would say come on the scene seemingly out of nowhere straight to

number one. I started listening to it, and I have not stopped since. That is one of the many

reasons you're going to enjoy our

conversation. He's so insightful. He speaks like finished written prose and he's just a great
