Isaacs, who is best known as the Cole and calculating Lucy Smalfoy,

has spoken out on HBO's casting decisions for the new series,

and he's certainly not mincing words.

In a recent appearance at Fan Expo Denver,

the actor addressed the online backlash surrounding the casting of the Lazarus Project

and I Made Destroy You Star,

Papa Asiadu, as Severus Snape in the upcoming HBO Harry Potter reboot.

Papa Asiadu is one of the best actors I've ever seen in my life, he said, as reported by

Collider. I've seen some people online who are being rude about him. What their being is racist.

Isaacs didn't hold back in his

support for a seadu, praising not only his talent, but also the broader cast of the upcoming series.

All the cast of the new Harry Potter TV series are amazing, he added. They will be swallowing their

tongues, hopefully, you know, their digital tongues when they see what Papa does on screen.

The backlash, which has spread across various

fan forums and social media platforms has largely centered on the decision to cast a black
