Is there a genuine excitement for the Red Sox, which I think does exist, Jared.

Is it well-founded or do you think it's getting ahead of itself a little bit?

No, I think it's properly placed. And I know that you think that I'm a Red Sox Bobo and I'm always

going to pump the propaganda. I've kind of turned into a little bit of a crumudgeon the last few years,

Felger. I've not been excited and I've said as much the last two, three seasons.

This one, I think the term is cautiously optimistic. You're better than you were last year.

There's reasons to be excited. You don't have to talk yourself into the idea that they might be

good. I think the Yankees running into their injury problems also gives you that extra hope that, hey, you know, maybe you're looking at more than just a winning record.
