Prime Minister Michelle Barnier hopes that will help bring down the country's

massive public debt. This is a political risk for the Prime Minister. Spending cuts and tax

increases are obviously not super popular, and he's already in a fragile position.

Barnier has only been Premier since August, and he's running a minority government, which means it
