The athletic. The athletic. The race is on and while Red Bull took its third one to of 2024 in the Japanese

Grand Prix it was a race of conflicting strategies in the scrap for the final podium place.

But why was Vestep and still able to cancer to victory even on a difficult weekend

and what explains the performance swings in the group behind? I'm Ed Shaw and joining us with all the answers,

and Mark Hughes and Scott Mitchell Malm.

Well I'm obliged to ask with this early race,

tell me about the Cherry Blossom.

Yeah, obviously change from the usual sort of towards the end of the season slot to early April

means it has had a slightly different backdrop it's been quite nice and

scenic actually I will admit though I wasn't in the best place this week to actually check out the

surroundings too much but it looked quite pretty from the coat on the way in.

Yeah it's not just the cherry blossom it's the fact that the sky is bright, bright blue and I normally associate skies here has been a bit moody and gray and sometimes black.

And yeah, it's just it's still a great place to be no matter what time of the year.

Yeah, there's definitely an element of it when you come, when you come here normally,

that you're right when it's that kind of like, like milky white grayish kind of backdrop to everything and it's the it's just the it's the sheer brutality and

awesomeness of the circuit that shines through but it's had a bit more of a
