0:06.2	rare step of subpoenaing a former president of the United States, writing that the efforts
0:11.0	to overturn the 2020 election was something that he, quote, personally orchestrated and
0:15.6	oversaw.
0:16.6	The committee is demanding he sit for a deposition under oath, as well as provide documents
0:21.1	and communications with more than a dozen allies and associates.
0:24.6	The response from the president's legal team today was only to call the subpoena, quote,
0:28.3	unprecedented action, unclear what their next step will be.
0:32.0	But what is clear is that defying a subpoena by the select committee can come with consequences.

0:49.4	Steve Bannon sentenced to four months in prison, plus a fine of $6,500 for his refusal

1:00.3	Also today, at about the same time, Steve Bannon sentenced to being read, the Washington
1:03.7	Post had new details about what was in that highly sensitive intelligence document seized
1:10.0	by FBI agents at the former president's residence in Marlago.
