I spend an awful lot of my time on the road trying to keep connected and I'm afraid I have more

all sorts of things, I need to be connected. So I thought I would take some advice from an

which of course, for an awful lot of people who have got motorhomes, is a really crucial thing.

Yes, absolutely. It feels like a basic human right, doesn't it? And where I think a lot of people

go wrong, and I suspect where you might be going wrong,

is you're trying to connect to the internet with your laptop via your phone.

And it's a common misconception that that's a best practice.

And remarkably, it's not.

And simply because your phone is a very, very busy little box.

So it's constantly update, text messages, emails and so on,

updating all the apps and notifications. I'm sure your phone is a very busy place like mine.

And that takes up lots of bandwidth. And the other restriction of a phone, a smartphone,

is the size of the a aerials within. So they are a coil inside the phone and their ability to pick up a cellular distance often on campsites

we're in a remote location is really hard so that's where you get no signal so having a dedicated

device that's designed to pick up that signal they usually have big aerials on or big coiled aeros

inside and then the ability to send a Wi-Fi signal
