Part 5, Chapter 10 of Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. In the previous chapters, Catherine attended the ball with John Thorpe, but was disappointed

by his general absence, especially after refusing Mr Tilney a dance.

The next day, whilst intending to seek out Tilney's sister, she was unexpectedly roped into a drive with Thorpe. His ego and

poor manners disgusted her, solidifying his disagreeable nature in her opinion. A fact, however,

she hesitated to share with her brother and Isabella.

Now that we're caught up with the story so far,

let's get ourselves ready for sleep.

Start by taking a deep, relaxing bread.

And settle your body, in whatever way feels most comfortable.

Now let any thoughts of the day drift away from your mind and simply follow the sound of my voice.

So let your eyes fall heavy and your breath soften
