This is Ria. Welcome to Little Stories for Tiny People. Today I'm joined by a lovely

friend of mine, a five-year-old little girl named Luna. Unlike some of my guests, Luna

does talk. But she's very quiet around people she doesn't know well. Before I press

record, Luna was telling me all about her recent trip to the aquarium with her aunt and

uncle. Apparently, her aunt touched a stingray's back and her uncle said, I'm not touching

that. It looks like a rotten pancake with a rat tail.

True story. Oh wait, not true story. Luna's shaking her head and rolling her eyes at

me. Did they get the story wrong? It was me who said that it looks like a rotten pancake

with a mouse tail. Okay, apparently Luna was the one that said, that looks like a rotten

pancake with a mouse tail. This version of the story kind of makes more sense to me.

Personally, I think it would be pretty cool to touch a stingray's back. Anywho, Luna,

I think you're gonna like this story because it's about a little boy who is kind of like

you in that it takes him some time before he warms up to new people. He likes to observe

and listen before he joins in. He's a little bit quiet. Are you ready? Luna's shrugging.

you have to imagine the pictures in your mind. Try to imagine the castle that Jameer and his new

friends build. Try to picture them crawling around like cats. Okay, here we go.

Playground buzzes with the sounds of adventure. A group of children, hollers, and laughs. A stream of

giggling boys slips down the slide. And Jameer stands to the side. Later, at school, a swarm of big

boys and girls jumps and runs and twirls. They move in a pack. They jostle, collide. And Jameer
