This is not the start to opening day that we were looking for.

Welcome in to an emergency edition of Fantasy Baseball today here on Thursday, March 26th.

I am Frank Stanfield, joined by Chris Towers, bringing you some bad news.

Jackson Churio has a fractured left hand.

He was placed on the aisle and expects to return sometime in mid to late April.

All things considered, I guess this could have been worse, right?

He's only going to miss two to four weeks, assuming no setbacks.

Apparently felt it after a hit by pitch while he was playing in the WBC

and then made it worse with a check

swing soon thereafter. So kind of annoying that we're finding this out on opening day. It feels like we

probably could have found out about this sooner. We'll get to replacements in just a little bit,

but Chris, obviously this sucks. Trio was probably your second or third round pick if you drafted him.

And we have to worry about this lingering once he's back as well. So your thoughts on all of it,

how far you're lowering him in the rankings. Yeah, that's the primary concern, I think,

because missing two to four weeks, which is the stated timetable I've seen at the start of the season.

It's not the worst thing in the world.

It's what happens if he aggravates it?

What happens if he comes back?

But he's just not the same.

And I do think you have to account for those possibilities.

So, you know, I don't know.
