obviously listening to podcasts so there's more than a good chance that you've

already listened to Darknet diaries.

After all, Jack Reside's show is the most popular cyber security podcast out there

and one of the most successful tech podcasts in the US in general.

In some ways I feel that Malicious Life and Darknet Diaries are almost sister podcasts.

Both were born at roughly the same time. I think we started

the podcast about mid-2017 and Jack started Darknet Diaries later that same year, and both are narrative in nature, that

is telling stories in much the same way that books and movies tell a story.

So it was only natural that we'd find ways to collaborate and indeed

we played two of Jack's episodes here in Malicious life and he played two of ours

in Darknet Diaries.

And so it's a great pleasure and a great honor even

to have Jack Recyder as our guest today

to talk with our producer Eliad Kimchi about the origins of Darknet

diaries, his heroes and role models, and the effect the show's success has had on his personal life, which you might be surprised to learn wasn't always

a hundred percent positive.
