The Jewish festival of Chavot, that is Pentecost, is actually a type of the rapture.

The Jewish Festival. And here to talk with us today is the author of this book, the Pentecostal rapture of the Church of Jesus Christ.

His name is Jack Langford. Jack, welcome to

prophecy watchers. Glad to be here. Glad to meet you folks. It's been a joy. You know, I have wanted

to sit down with you for a long, long time because I read this book, the Pentecostal rapture,

the Church of Jesus Christ, and discovered we have a lot in common. I agree with the idea

you present in this book. And I think we should begin by familiarizing people with what we mean

when we say Pentecostal. That word has been bandied about a lot in different venues and different times, but it really goes way, way back to the time before Christ.

What we call Pentecost, the Jews call Chavuot.

Well, back when God brought Israel out of Egypt. He instituted the feast of unleavened bread, and during that feast he later incorporated

a very special offering, a wave sheaf of grain. And then after that, they were to count 50 days. And at the end of those 50 days,

they would celebrate at first time it was called the harvest feast, or the harvest of first fruits feast.

Later it was named by the weeks, seven weeks, and then on the 50th day, they would have the celebration.

So its first designations were as a harvest, as a harvest of first fruits, and then as a

feast of weeks. And then in the New Testament times, commonly called Pentecost, 50th day.

Good Greek word, Pentecosti, which means 50.

And that's the way we have it in the New Testament.

And of course, the birth of the church has everything to do with Feast of Weeks, doesn't it? Well, one moment there was a couple hundred Jews praying.

The next instant the Church of Jesus Christ was born.

The Holy Spirit of God took up his residence upon the earth in the hearts

and lives of believers. And that's the way it's going out too. One moment will be here and the next
