1:03.3 | Love that you mentioned the stuff in the James Rees Storylines and would like to hear more about yours and your teammates experiences and training and applications in the real world. |
1:11.1 | It's our bread and butter here in the civilian responsibility, armed citizen world. |
1:15.1 | And we get a lot of guidelines from military tactical medicine. |

1:23.2 | Awesome. Yeah, the tactical medicine stuff obviously evolved quite a bit in the years following, following September 11th, 2001 up until that point. |
1:33.8 | We were doing a lot of IVs, a lot of IVs as we were putting pressure situations like the back of a Pavlo helicopter. |
1:40.9 | I remember doing that in Florida once with a red head lamp and kind of holding that red head, red head lamp down at the side instead of the light directly on it. |
1:50.2 | We're supposed to help us while we were doing that. And then we're always doing it as we're running an obstacle course or as we're out at Desert Warfare Training in Nileland or wherever. |
1:58.2 | We're always practicing those sticks. And then a lot of that went away after September 11th and became more about stuff in that wound, getting that turn to get on there and then getting to that next level of care. |
2:09.8 | But there's what's great is that there are so many different companies out there that are training in trauma, tactical medicine, that sort of thing these days. |
2:18.9 | Thunder Ranch has a as a trauma course that is awesome field craft survival based here in Hebrew, Utah with Mike Glover. They have an amazing course as well. |
2:28.2 | Multiple courses out there as well. And they have a ton of great information on their website and on their social channels. |
