And I was speaking to them about pop culture and geek culture and everything.

And they really couldn't believe that there was a time when Black Panther wasn't a household

So how does it feel for you all to know that one day kids won't be able to imagine a world without Ayano?

I, I'm excited. I'm blessed that this is coming at this time because it's much needed.

I've lived in America for over a decade and I have seen how black kids question a lot of

things, wonder about a lot of things and their curiosity about who we are as a people,

where we're from originally, the culture, the history, you know, the authenticity and everything.

So for me, Iano coming at this point

represents a time where black children can actually look at themselves and know that, you know,

they are worth it, they can be seen. They are in a world where this is possible. It's not just

about fictitious worlds. It's not just about made up worlds. We do exist

as a people. We have cultures as beautiful as they saw in Black Panther. We have community. We have

costume. We have the look. We have our special dances and all of that. It is what we have

in Africa. And it is beautiful that they get to see it where they are.

Because normally this kind of stories will be told for us at home.

But the fact that they're all going to see, no matter where they are,

it's a beautiful thing for me.
