I love Jack Brel, Belgian singer-songwriter of the 1960s, who died tragically young.

He wrote that about the town Vesul, where the stage started today,

because he promised the people he had dinner with

in the Bon Auberge Hotel in 1960 that he would one day write a song about Vesul and he

duly did. It took him eight years in 1960s he wrote that song and it features the accordion

work of Marcel Azaro, I think I've got his name right, who is one of the greatest according

players of his generation.

And buried in those lyrics are the phrase, chouffer Marcel, chouf Marcel.

Shuf Marcel.
