Summary
As of this morning, all of the hantavirus cruise ship passengers are off the ship and being monitored by their respective countries. The virus that was once isolated to the tip of Argentina has now journeyed with infected passengers to the United States, the Netherlands, Britain, Germany, France, Switzerland and Spain. 18 passengers are being closely monitored in two locations here in the U.S at facilities in Nebraska and Georgia. It’s unclear how long these potentially exposed passengers will be quarantined, but scientists are highly encouraging them to isolate for the full 42 day incubation period.
