But this is, you know, so much horror is about violence, but we as Black horror creators are really

going to have to balance the trauma that our readers are already feeling about the violence

in their social media, in their families, in their lives, with escapism because horror is supposed

to be escapism. But if it's too violent, if it's if it's flagrantly sort of posing Black bodies

in ways that we see them posed in our social media, that is not escapism anymore. So we have to

really think about how to create horror, I think in more thoughtful ways than the slasher model.
