I'm so glad you came back to be with me today.

It is my honor and my pleasure, but also my responsibility to make sure I uphold Derek's high standards and those that I was trained with all those years in learning excellence and broadcasting.

Top of the news, although you've heard it everywhere else.

You haven't heard it the way I'm going to put it to you.

And it's something I've noticed certainly with the way that media has become now.

It's become very much what it used to be just with the near time setting the agenda.

Now Twitter seems to set it and everybody sounds very much the same. There

doesn't seem to be a desire to break out of that conventional wisdom. And that's something that I just

always wanted to do. I was one of those kids that your mother tells you to get up for school and

you say, no. Even if I was ready to get out, you say five more minutes, I'm not moving. It's hard.

God bless my wife, Kathy, because she tells this kind of stubbornness all the time. I just

recoiled the conventional wisdom, and I have to consciously make myself avoid it. You can find me,
