Hello, my friends and welcome to the Live Inspired podcast with John O'Leary.

There's a quote that shows up in the book On Fire, and it's also

eventually you may find out going to show up in a film called On Fire. And it goes like this.

You can't always choose the path you walk in life, but you can always choose the manner in which

you walk it.

So my friends, a question to begin this episode. Does it seem like people are quick to anger these

days? What do you think? For many, it's almost as if they go around seeking reasons to be

disappointed, to be upset, to be infuriated, the little things frequently will set these people

off. What happens, though, when an individual who has every right to be upset chooses instead to

respond with grace? Years ago, on an early morning Southwest Airlines flight, I had such an experience

of what happened seeing it in action.

After reaching our cruise in altitude, the flight attendants took the drink orders and then they

passed out a few snacks. They then began serving the requested drinks to the passengers in the aisles.

A hot coffee was set on my drink table, thank you for that. Another coffee across the aisle, and then the passengers seated directly behind me was handed

a bloody Mary.

It was 6.30 a.m., kind of early, but probably 5 o'clock someplace, and I'm not here to judge.

Unfortunately, at the exact moment that the drink was set on that tray table, the plane hit

turbulence, and some of the Bloody Mary spilled on the lap of the lady seated to her right.

It was not a pretty scene. Trust me. There was a lot of commotion. There was significant anger,

and there was plenty of words needing to be bleeped

out. Another passenger attempted to come to the rescue, trying to help clean up the mess that was now
