The crisis in the House of Representatives, and therefore, for the United States of America,

is now in its third day.

There is still no speaker in the House of Representatives, which means there are no

members of the House of Representatives.

Just despite an evening of negotiations, Perkevin McCarthy within the House Republican

caucus.

Kevin McCarthy has lost eight votes to be speaker and is currently on track right now as

we come in the air to lose the ninth vote.

So despite making a series of unbelievable concessions, things that were off the table

Sunday night and in the Monday to the holdouts in his caucus, Washington Post reports this

quote, in a major allowance to the HardWright Republicans, McCarthy offered to lower from

five to one, the number of members required to sponsor a resolution, to force a vote on

ousting the speaker, a change that the California Republican had previously said he would

not accept.

Congressman Matt Gates, who today nominated Donald Trump for the speakership, described

the power to remove the speaker as quote, anyone, anywhere, anytime, raising questions

about whether anybody, whether it is Kevin McCarthy or someone else, can remain speaker

for long.

But despite reportedly agreeing to that and many other demands by the hardliners, McCarthy

has not moved the needle at all.
