Hello, my friends, and welcome to the Live Inspired podcast Monday Moments with John Aliria.

I record these so that you and I can begin our weeks in awe and on fire with a burst of inspiration. And the day after Easter, let's step into

this episode. It turns out that in life, it is easy not to respond. It's easy to remain passive

or indifferent or busy. But as I was reminded just last week,

the most effective, most transformational,

and most life-giving leaders are the ones who respond.

They are the ones who pay attention.

They're the ones who step up and step forward.

And I think we all know this one,

they aren't always the individuals that we

thought they would be. Last week, I shared the story on the Monday morning moments with you about a

little boy who was burned terribly as a baby. His story, his scars, his courage and his brilliant smile sparked a desire not only in me,

but our entire organization to make a difference for him. What began as text messages with

Little Davion and his mom turned into a truly special relationship. I feel incredibly blessed to know, to respect, and to love him.

Davion is now eight years old, and he's had a difficult time lately. He had an arduous surgery

recently, and there's another one's schedule for later this spring. So I asked his mom if there

might be some dream he had always wanted to do,

but they have not yet been able to achieve. We all know that during times of difficulty,

it's so critically important to have something exciting to look forward to. His mom shared that

Davian's big dream was to just be a normal kid for a day.

He imagined a day when he might have access to a big water park, could just play with all the other

kids, and have a chance to spend the night out with his family in a hotel. What a special occasion that would be.
