Merry Christmas and welcome back to a numbers game with Ryan Gurdowski. Thank you guys so much for being here on Christmas Day. I hope you're having a wonderful day with whatever you're doing. I'm sure a lot of you are with family or you're wrapping gifts. Hopefully you're going to church for a minute or two or you went the day before. If you, maybe you're like me and you're seeing extended family who haven't seen a while, that can get exhausting. You know, you've got to see cousins that you haven't seen in a while and second cousins and you're hearing right your cousin Brenda's divorce or who lost their job or who has a mole that needs to get removed. I know it's just, after a while, so you need to break. You need to take a walk.

You need to go in the car for a minute. You need to take a cigarette, whatever you're doing. And maybe you listen to this podcast, and I appreciate you for that. Thank you guys so much. I have some very cool polling information on Christmas and cool political stuff. I want to sit there and say, if you are Italian like me, I hope you did the Seven Fishers. If you were not Italian and you're probably more well adjusted a human being, Christmas Eve is really our big holiday that, you know, to be with the Seven Fishers, it's 700 family members are all yelling at each other over like who has the last meatball. This is,

Christmas Day is much more relaxed than Christmas Eve is. So hopefully you're having a much more

1:16.4

relaxed day than I was the day before. But I have some very cool polling information to get to. So first,

1:23.4

Scott Rasmussen, who does not own Rasmussen polling he used to, but they cite that pollster very often.

1:30.1

It's not my favorite, but Scott's a pretty good pollster.

1:32.7

Scott found that a majority, 78% of registered voters say that the man, the history knows is Jesus Christ,

1:40.2

that Catholics and Christians know as their Lord and Savior,

1:42.8

78% of registered voters believe that he walked the earth.

1:46.3

This is about the same as it was last year.

1:48.3

There was no change.

1:49.2

85% of Republicans and 74% of Democrats believe that Jesus Christ existed and walked this earth.

1:57.6

Interestingly enough, the people least likely to believe that are government employees, just 36%.

2:02.6

I thought that was really fascinating of all the people that Scott sat there in kind of samples.

2:08.2

Secondly, a majority, 76% of Americans believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God.

2:15.6

More women than men believe that.

2:17.2

Women believe it at 80%, women believe it at 72%.

2:20.5

72% believe that Mary had a virgin birth, that she was a virgin at the time of Christ's

2:25.5

birth.

2:25.9

That is actually up four points from last year.
