Sienna University conducted a poll with The New York Times that examined not only the mood of the

country and of Donald Trump and the economy and all the usual polling questions, but they asked about

the state and the future, both the Republican and the Democratic Party, and their findings were

very interesting. So let's start with the overall poll numbers. Americans are growing deeply

negative about the economy with only 22 percent of Americans saying the economy is in good

or excellent state, while 76 percent say it's fair or poor,

with almost the majority saying it's outright poor. Not a great place. The downward economy

caused by high prices for groceries, gasoline, and other goods, and obviously the war in Iran,

dragging all those prices up, has really negatively impacted both President Trump and the GOP.

Democrats hold a 10-point advantage in the midterms, which is one of the largest I think I've ever seen from the Sienna poll.
