Title of it is it did not start with JFK. And it's a two-volume set. The one word, the book volume we're going to talk about today is the decades of events that led to the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

The author's name is Walter Herbst, H-E-R-B-S-T.

And I think it's really important his approach of getting into this book because it really

informs everything that led up to what happened in November 22nd, 1963. And there's a lot of

information and there's a lot of very curious characters that are involved in the GFK assassination. So we

So for people who may not have heard of your name, I think I saw your book on Ed Opperman.

Can you talk about your background? You do talk about it

in the intro, but talk about kind of the influence of JFK and how you got interested in researching

and what led you to put together this book. It did not start with Jay. Well, I was six years old when

JFK got assassinated, right? And so too young to really have any effect on me but

you know if anyone who was alive at the time um doesn't forget it and as time went by there

would be articles in the paper it issued out about jack ruby and gun running or what have you and i would

see it and i never really got into it until my mid-20s,

and I was given a book by a friend,

best evidence about the autopsy of JFK.

And I read that, and it was like eye-opening for me, right?

I mean, it was clear that something was,

the autopsy was not a definitive clear a picture of what happened
