I know I always say I don't want to get tangled up in theological controversies,

but then the minute anyone so much raises one, it's like that Leroy Jenkins video

just gonna charge on in Leroy Jenkins.

So here we go again. I'm an old you guys I'm getting up there I feel like all my references are from like 90s early 2000s YouTube videos I do hope you've seen that one

it's a total classic there's a bunch of guys playing I think it's World of Warcraft some kind of

RPG dungeonayer type game,

and they've obviously tried a bunch of times to beat this one really hard level

so they've gathered together for like a council of the elders, a strategy session,

and everybody's talking about what they're gonna do

goes on for like a long time like okay you're going to move to the right and then my

maid spell will cover your staff attack as I and then finally this one guy who's playing like a berserker just comes

charging barreling through and saying here we go it's Leroy Jenkins.

So I kind of feel that way now because,

though I am genuinely cautious to weigh in on theological disputes,

I usually can't help it when somebody asks me about one.

And on Fridays, I like to answer your questions, especially about language and especially about the biblical languages.

I notice you guys are writing in a lot about how do I translate this particular

passage in the New Testament or the Old Testament, the Hebrew, the Greek, whatever.

And inevitably these ambiguities in the text have given rise to questions about the theology and inevitably

those questions about the theology have gotten very heated, very explosive.

So whenever I raise these issues I always say don't at me by which I mean don't get mad

I'm not trying to tell you what to believe I'm not telling you what you have to think in order to be a good Christian or
