A mom reunited with her son who's been held hostage

for 19 months in Gaza.

That is Idan Alexander,

21 years old, the last known living American hostage in Gaza,

together finally with his mother, Yael, his father, Adi there, his brothers and sisters are there as well.

Hamas finally handed him over today in a deal made possible by the Trump administration.

It cannot undo the long days and months of tears for this family and so many others on both sides of that border,

and it can't heal the broken hearts that came before it, but it is a moment to celebrate and a reminder of what's important.
