joins me as my colleague and co-host,

and we're very pleased to welcome the ambassador from the

State of Israel to the United States, Mr. Liter, who is here to help us understand the events

of these last days that have been contradicted by subsequent events. We begin with a photograph

that appeared above the fold in the New York Times, a very large photograph of a mother and a clearly ill child.

And it was presented as evidence of starvation, despite the fact that the mother looked extremely healthy and attractive.

And there was a brother nearby, we presume, who was also attractive and healthy,

and yet the child, not starvation, but a childhood disease.

Mr. Ambassador, the New York Times has now withdrawn that photograph and issued a correction,

but the photograph remains in the minds of everybody who saw it one morning. What is to be done, Mr. Ambassador?

Good evening to you. Good evening to you, John and Malcolm. It's good to be with you. Well, what is to be

done? First, a proper analysis of the problem. You know, in the past, the not too distant past,

when you wanted to belittle Jews or discredit Jews,

you claim that they put blood in the matzes before Passover. This is a new form of that blood libel.

You put a huge picture on the front page of the New York Times, which claims to print only

news that's fit to print.

And you doctor the picture beforehand.

I mean, you know, Israel must be very talented if it can starve one brother and not the other.

The healthy brother was cut out of the picture, and it wasn't pointed out or wasn't told that this child is not suffering
