I'm John Bachelor with my colleague Jonathan Schanser, Vice President of the Foundation for

Defense of democracies.

There is an invitation, Jonathan, you know very well for the Prime Minister to address Congress.

What is the mission for the Prime Minister?

What will we, what can we anticipate?

Well I think first it's important to note that we are seeing a bipartisan effort, right?

You've got the leaders of both houses, Democrats and Republicans, both extending their

hand to the Israeli Prime Minister to come and speak to Congress. I do think that it does

represent a rift between the executive and Congress, generally speaking, about the support for Israel's war efforts.

I think the White House is generally opposed allowing the Israelis to continue

their battle against the full range of Iranian proxies.

And I think Congress is more accepting of Israel's mission

and the military challenges that Israel must face and and I do think that this affords Benjamin

Netanyahu Israel's prime minister the opportunity to reframe the war, you know, the way that it's been described by the administration

and by the international community is that Israel is of course waging some kind of, know genocidal war which is of course

absolutely false the Israelis have been extremely careful in the way that they

have conducted themselves on the battlefield.

But I think that Netanyahu has the opportunity to reframe this

as a multi-front war being waged by Iran against Israel

and perhaps against the West more broadly. And I think is I'm beginning to question Netanyahu's leadership.

And I've not said this before.

I have wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.
