stories. Israel continues to launch airstrikes across the Gaza Strip.

Strikes reportedly hit the Jabalia refugee camp in the north as well as the

southern cities of Hununice and Ruffer. Hamas also suggested that its fighters

had clashed with Israeli troops around Hunnunice.

Meanwhile, leading American officials urged Israel to do more to protect civilians.

Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry said the death toll in the enclave since October 7th had

exceeded 15,500.

The Pentagon said it was aware of report that an American naval destroyer suffered an attack in the Red Sea,

along with commercial ships.

Hooty rebels from Yemen said they had attacked two vessels, though did not acknowledge an assault on an American warship.

Attacks in the region have increased.

In November, Hoote rebels seized a cargo ship that they claimed had links to Israel.

The Baratia-Genata party was headed for significant victories in Indian state elections seen as a bellwether ahead of next year's parliamentary

elections.
