Absent of severe mental illness, where suicidality is like a common symptom,

if a group of very young people who are between the ages of 16 and 18 are already trying to opt out of pressure because they feel like they have no other options.

They feel like there's so much writing on them. They feel like there's so much fear,

of failure and rejection and bringing shame. That is like a created environment.

And that is not an environment where anybody can thrive and meet

their best potential and that's what I really think is the ultimate like if I were to say like what's the worst thing that can happen from toxic productivity,

the worst thing that happens in toxic productivity is it actually prevents you from reaching your own potential because you are so

consumed by needing everything to be perfect by feeling like you're doing good

enough that feeling that you know you have to avoid shame and all of these other things are going on that actually prevent you from meaning your own potential.
