Is this the same kind of ISIS that we have in Afghanistan are these different actors?

Yeah, John, they're the same and different. It's just a different flavor.

The ISIS in Iraq and Syria that was al-Qaeda, you know, became or originated from al-Qaeda in Iraq.

Remember there was a leadership between al-Qaeda in Iraq's leadership and al-Qaeda central leadership.

I'm in al-Zawahiri, then the Amir,

he ejected the Islamic State over these issues,

and thus became the Islamic State.

This was an interesting rage, again,

yet seven American soldiers wounded during it,

but they killed four top Islamic State leaders.

One of them was the Islamic State's overall operations leader.

One was the operations leader for Western Iraq.
