Hey, good morning. I'm Patricia Murphy. It's Tuesday. This is Seattle now. Cilocybin isn't legal

in Washington State, but a growing number of people are interested in using it,

recreationally and therapeutically. Researchers at the University of Washington are studying how

psilocybin can be used to help with trauma and alcohol use disorder. We'll talk more about

medicinal and recreational use of psilocybin with KUOW online editor Stephen Howie in a minute.

But first, let's get you caught up.

Today is the last day for Governor Bob Ferguson to pass a state budget,

and right now it's pretty unclear, if you will.

We're talking about the two-year budget legislators passed to address the state's billion-dollar budget shortfall.

It includes both cuts and tax increases.

If the governor doesn't approve the budget, the legislature will have to reconvene this summer to pass a new one.

It's been 50 years since the first refugees arrived in Washington from Southeast Asia following

the Vietnam War.

The occasion will be marked at the state capital with a book launch.

New land commemorates the thousands of refugees that resettled here in 1975.
