And while I never like to root for people to lose their jobs, I really anticipated this morning

we were going to lead with UAB relieving Trent Dilfer of his duties as head coach had they lost last night as a three touchdown favor to an in-state. We'll call it a rival, I guess, in Alabama State. Good thing is protective stadium is about a mile and a half from Birmingham Airport. So it wouldn't have been that awkward if Mark Ingram, the AD,

and said, hey, we need to ride out to the tarmac real quick so I can fire you there. We did have this discussion last night for him. And I really do, what do you guys think would have happened if they would have lost game out right? Does he get fired? Unfortunately, unfortunately, I mean, you probably have to fire Mark too. So somebody was going to have step in and clean out the top end of the house pretty quickly.

we were actually discussing this i think the uab win total was at four and a half which feels like

absolute free money right now can you still get it at four and a half at vegas or did it adjust

that quickly it's always interesting because we've seen over the years books getting more

aggressive in terms of reposting win totals after a team starts to play their early season schedule.

So we'll see if that number does come back up. I can't imagine that you're going to see

odds makers really adjusted because you kind of penciled in Alabama State as a win. But I don't anticipate that anybody really believe they were going to give up 42 points in the process. But I guess if you're going glass half full for the Blazers, a 52 point offensive outbursts maybe can carry some of that momentum forward when they truly step up in class against Navy. The challenge, though, as you look at UAB's schedule, that game against Akron on Saturday, September 13 might be a friends and family only affair in what we saw from the Zips after they put up that goose egg against that vaunted Wyoming Cowboys defense yesterday at home. Furman, before we get to tonight's slate and Auburn Baylor, everybody wants to talk about that. Let's go back to last night, not to pat myself on the back.
