important games for very different reasons this weekend. For Michigan, it is. It's a playoff game.

Michigan cannot take another loss because the last game of the season you're losing.

And before you start with this, well, we always beat him, Sparty, I've picked correctly the last five years in that game. But it's going to be at the big house. I don't care. You're not on their level. The point I'm making is you beat USC, you keep a playoff spot for yourself. They're always going to take 10 and 2 Michigan. So it's a very important game. Yeah, no Oregon, no, you're right. It's a light schedule, and they can do it. For state, it's different. This is... Referendum, Saturday? No, I think every game's a referendum for Smith at this point. And I understand Spartan fans are upset with me, and it's like, well, first of all, too bad. Second of all, this is just about after 17 games, do you think things are progressing in a manner that is suggestive of this program getting better, turning a corner, becoming good.

Look, if you think it was unrealistic for Rico and I to say seven or eight wins is what we need to feel

good, that's fine.

Unrealistic is some of you buffoons suggesting that you need three, four years to deliver

eight wins.

They go up 7-0 on Rutgers at home and give up the next 50. All right? I can't excuse that. Same against Indiana. Right. I can't excuse that. Now, you come into this year.
