The second hard choice I think we have to make is to refuse to insist that our loss remain front and center

I think this is especially difficult for those of us who have gone through a loss where perhaps

it was a long medical condition, where everybody got used to checking in with us for the latest

medical or treatment report. And every time we went to church, they were asking,

how's it going? And every week at Bible study, they were praying for the treatment or for

the person or for whatever it is. And every time we walked into church, everybody asked us,
