Why we think that the Bible is reliable in communicating truth,

what does it mean that the Bible communicates truth?

These are the types of questions that I hope will become a bit clearer in the course of this

lecture.

As an opening anecdote, back when there were these things called bookstores, where you could go

and buy physical books, there were a whole, like basically two to three rows dedicated to Bibles and Biblical Studies

and religion.

So you could go to a Barnes & Noble, for example, and you could probably count out about 15 different translations

into English of the biblical text.
