Greetings and welcome to a Thursday edition of the shotgun start. It is July 7th. Andy, how are we doing?

Brendan, I'm doing great.

It was a nice morning wake up, you got the coffee golf, just a palate cleanser given the world of golf the last few weeks.

I feel like this is this two week period that we have here is just going to be a delightful kind of divergence in a way from what we've had to talk about.

I mean, I think you'll be actually be golf to care about like that that will match it exceed that, but I think those conversations with all these people in the same place and with the media scrutiny that comes with the major championship will still be ongoing and still ever present and still a sizable portion of the week, but at least we have real golf to that kind of elevates above that at the same time.

This is our last podcast from US soil. I cannot wait. We're going to Scotland tomorrow night. That's why it's an odd like Tuesday, Thursday that combined with the fourth of July holiday here.

It's Tuesday, Thursday week. We are what are you most excited about for Scotland? What are you most excited about?

I mean, we're going for the open. We're going to play a little bit of golf around it, but mostly for the open is there something that you just kind of it's I guess that's hard to say what's your favorite kid, but what are you most excited about getting over there?

Yeah, I think I'm most excited. I'm a little sad. I'm sad that I'm losing my have never gone to the UK thing, you know, that's that's been a fun fun fun little fact to carry around,

try out there, you know, I like, I like being self deprecating. I like calling myself a fraud for never going. So, you know, the sad that I'm a little bit losing that I'm a little sad of, but I think, you know, Jeff shackle for posts and some pictures on Instagram and Twitter last night.

I just was looking at the look at a goal and I was like, God, that looks delightful. I try people always ask me like, what do you do before you go to a golf course? And I actually like, I don't read anything really.

I've burned our Darwin's book about the about golf and the British Isles. I might bring that on the plane and read it, but like I try to consume as little as possible about any courses so that when I go there, I don't have any like preconceived notion in my head about them. And I can just kind of think about it myself.

So that's that's kind of what I'm looking forward to. I think it's just going to be delightful. The other thing I'm excited to I haven't been out of America since my honeymoon. I'm excited to be out of America too.

Like I like the thing to about Scotland and you know, we're staying in the town of St. Andrews. And I know this is going to be like the most anti St. Andrews trip. Like I'm the next time I go out there, I'm going to try and go when in the fall when there's less tourism, maybe even the winter.

But like I like being in a town and being able to walk around. And I also I don't think we're going to have a car for the first week. I like not having a car. I like having to be on foot. I like that.
