Nuclear power, nuclear energy, what do you think of it? Good or bad? Thumbs up or thumbs down.

You're not allowed nuance in this conversation. You're either in favor of Chernobyl,

happening everywhere all the time, or you've got your head in the sand, you don't realize that

nuclear is an essential part of our green future. I have been contacted a lot on social media

by people saying, why don't you talk about nuclear on the show? You've done lots of stuff about

in the environment and about the electrical grid. We had Saul Griffith on, the wonderful Saul

Griffith. If you haven't

listened to that episode, you should. It's kind of mind-blowing about what the next phase of

human evolution in our energy consumption is, how we can have networked suburbs of, you know,

your car is your battery for your house, and your house is selling rooftop solar to your

neighbors and the grid is smart and all of the energy is renewable and we have this in the palm

of our hands right now it's just a matter of making the necessary investments to make it happen

and I get super super excited and then someone, actually, you sort of crunch the numbers,

like right, right now, like right, right now. We can't do that yet and get all the energy we

need. So there's still a gap missing globally. Maybe not in some countries. And I raised this

with today's guest. Maybe in countries like Australia that are bloody hot and

blowy and sparsely populated, you can do 100% renewable. But, you know, that may not be the case

in Belgium. Maybe Belgium needs a nuclear power plant. So people say, like, why is there this kind
