I am here as I usually am on Monday mornings with my partner in crime, Russ. Russ, happy Monday.

Hi, Louie. I have had quite the weekend because I have

spent it preparing for this episode. And I have got to say, I hope you're okay. This has been

one of the most truly deranged things that we have decided to do. This is a really odd listening experience. What we are

gathered here to do is to talk about Katie Perry's teenage dream. However, what we are talking

about is all of the non-singles. This came out of a conversation that we were having in a previous

episode, and you have been really goading me into doing it for a while?

Yeah. Well, I think a little bit broader scope. Like, the idea here is to poke holes in the retroactive

deeming of this as a classic album. That's something I've always chafed about because I think

we remember that and only think of the five or six

truly great singles that came off of this record. Like, I'm not here to dispute that. But I think

we're testing the theory today about whether this is actually a classic album if you listen to it

without the singles. That was the concept here. It is, whof, I'm totally not. Don't say anything yet. Don't say

anything yet. We're also going to go song by song and talk about every non-single. It's going to be

like a new music speed round, but only non-singles from Teenage Dream. Yes. I'm excited. I mean,

I can't wait. Me too. No one needs reminding, but this is technically speaking, the third

studio album from Katie Perry following her Christian album, Katie Hudson, and then her major label

debut, 2008's One of the Boys, which was her breakout. Teenage Dream is Diamond Certified. It very

famously has five number one singles. Only the six single missed the number one spot.

That was the one that got away. And it peaked at number three. So a massively successful six single as well.
