Hey, everybody, welcome to another week and another edition of the Shay Anything podcast, Doug Williams with Andy Martino today.

Once again, we're doing twice a week moving forward this season, Mondays and Thursdays, Doug and Andy on Monday, and myself and Keith

wherever you get your podcast, we appreciate it. So since we last spoke, Andy Metz are two and

one. Since Keith and I spoke on Thursday, they won a series, the weekend series against the Marlins, who came in hot, still an impressive team, given what they've gone through.

They're playing hard.

But, you know, there were some good signs from the Mets.

It didn't start well.

Waka struggled, and obviously is now on the injured list with the shoulder inflammation.

But Peterson and DeGrom certainly leave a better taste in your mouth.

And DeGrom, dealing with a blister issue, we'll see how long that continues.

But he called it a hotspot later, said it's a small blister um yeah he called it he called

it the heat the day before too so let's not rely on his uh uh answers you don't think he's uh

his self diagnosis to us is necessarily full of honesty i do not okay um well let's hope it

whatever let's hope it doesn't become a season-long thing because those blisters certainly can linger.

You have that kind of feeling of relief when the trainer comes out and they're looking at a finger and not his arm.

But it can be a bad injury and something that can stick around for an entire season.

So Mets fans obviously hope that's not the case.

So we'll get in particular to some things that I feel strongly about regarding this team right now.

And then also who we think has really become a standout star for this team right now.

We'll talk about him later.

But want to kind of reminisce about where we were a year ago.
