I think that is more in a way conservative than taking a player like Morgan who can maybe provide you that one special miracle moment

but isn't going to be consistently fit and ready to play in all of these different games.

That is I think a concession to the realities of the Olympic tournament.

You know, we had to do it because it is U.S.

Women's National Team roster release day.

We have a roster for the Olympics for the U.S. Women's National Team.

I think it's a day that is both very exciting and I think one that perhaps people dread

because as we know we're going to see some dreams coming true and we're also going to see some very very difficult cuts because this is not a large roster.

It is an 18 player roster with a number of alternates who are not on the team but will travel with the team.

There was one very big cut made and we will talk about that in just a second.

But before we do that, let's dive into the list of players who will be going to the Paris Olympics

on behalf of the U.S. Women's national soccer team. You want to start

designating that now because we're about to cover a lot of different sports this summer. So for

goalkeepers we have Casey Murphy and Alyssa Nayer defenders, Tierna Davidson, Emily Fox, Naomi Germa, Casey Krueger,

Jenna Nyswanger, and Emily Sonnet.

For midfielders, Corbin Albert, Sam Coffey, Lindsay Horan, Roseleve, and Katerina Macario.

For forwards, Crystal Dunn, Trinity Rodman, Jayton Shaw, Sophia Smith, and Mallory Swanson, and

the alternates will be Jane Campbell, Hal Hirschfeld, Croy Bethune, and Lynn Williams.

So this is probably the headline of the day.
