Summary

Nostalgia in golf often takes the form of pining for the good old days, when the ball actually curved and skilled golfers made it bend around trees, both ways, probably on the same shot. In this episode, Mark, Lou, and Greg consider recent comments by Charley Hull, asking how much golf has changed and what effect that has on the spectator experience. I think Charlie Hall was interviewed at a press conference, asked if she watched golf,

you could go and find the quote to find exactly what she said, but that was kind of the premise of what was being said. To be fair, and not to judge Charlie, you know, she was asked a dumb question. This is the problem. You ask a dumb question in a press conference. Like, there's a good chat. It's on the spot.
