in all the right ways. Gretchen, thanks so much for

being with us. It's my pleasure. Thank you. So take us through your story. How did you get here?

How did you go from a farmer to historian and back again? Well, I don't know. It's kind of a long

story, but I'll cut it a little bit short. I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, in the suburbs,

went to college in East Tennessee,

decided to head west,

have always loved history,

did some things out west,

went to college again.

I have a history degree, an English degree.

I have taught school for years until I decided that I didn't want to work for someone else,
