This has been such a journey. I'm honestly emotional about it. I kind of don't want it to end. I've had so much fun making it. I've had so much fun hearing from everybody about how you're all feeling about the show, how you're enjoying it, what it's making you think, and all of the nostalgia, all of it. It's been powerful. And I am sad that it's over,

but it is. And we've arrived at the moment of truth, which is that today, we shall be ranking

Britney Spears in the official pot pantheon. In order to do that, Russ and I invited Friend of the Pod

Molly, Mary O'Brien, to be our co-anchor for this episode. But we have conversations

with Jason King, who I brought up numerous times on this podcast series. Of course, Jason was

previously the dean of the Clive Davis Institute at NYU. He is now the dean of the music business

school at USC. And he is a friend of the show and obviously brilliant and I

talked a lot about things he's said to me in the past about Brittany and about the pop pantheon.

So he comes on for a while to talk about his views on Brittany and all of this ranking stuff.

We hear from every single guest on the show from Doreen San Felice to Ann Powers to Karen Gans,

to Troy McKee

about what they think Britney's Pop Pantheon tier ranking should be and we also hear

from y'all our patrons weighed in on this they voted they sent voice notes they

sent comments and we go through all of it it was a long and very intense but very

fun conversation and I think we came out where we needed to come out.
