annuities for retirement. Last week we started the series and outlined some of the mechanical basics of annuities.

This week we're going to define what role an annuity could play in your retirement.

And then in the coming weeks,

we're going to explore the different types of annuities.

And the point here is to have some critical thinking and a curious and open mind on a topic,

annuities that are either vilified or glorified depending on where you sit in that discussion.

A lot of misinformation on both sides about annuity, so we're just together talking through step by step what

annuities are and how they work and what roles they could play so we can come to

our own decisions.

And I have my biases, which I explained last week and I'm trying to check those at the door so we can explore this topic together but you know what?

We can't do any of that until we have that all important disclaimer.
