and Hello welcome to another episode of Purple Insider Matthew Collar here.

We have a lot of fan questions to get to as it is officially Packers Week, but I want to bring you an update first from

0:36.1

TCO Performance Center where we were let's back in the locker room for the first time since 2019 we were in the Minnesota Vikings

0:48.8

locker room and you know what it wasn't any different but it certainly felt good to be there for a Monday, interviewing players about the upcoming week and feeling like it is finally back to normalcy.

1:02.0

And I was thinking about how there are certain players on the team that are pretty

1:07.0

important to what's going on who have never met a lot of us up close aside from coming off the field and training camp and

1:15.1

have never had reporters coming in the locker room to do what we call a

1:19.7

scrum where a bunch of us run over to a player and things like that. So there are lots of veterans who have been through this many times before 2020, but there are also young players in the league who are kind of seeing how this works for the first time.

1:35.6

So that was a little strange, but we had a chance to talk with Irv Smith Jr. and with Zadarius Smith.

1:42.4

And Zadarius Smith obviously did not want to get too deep into the weeds of the

1:49.6

revenge game but something that stuck out that he said that I thought was probably more relevant than any revenge game angle, was just the fact that this training camp worked out really well for him health-wise.

2:05.4

He talked about how when it came to getting those veteran days, getting the reps off, because

2:10.9

a lot of times we saw DJ Wannum and Patrick Jones taking those first team

2:15.8

reps while Zadaria Smith and Daniel Hunter were on the sideline he said that it was

2:21.4

the best that he's felt that it was way different from when he was in Baltimore

2:26.0

where he would get worn down a lot by training camp and he said in Green Bay they took care of them

2:31.9

and here they even took it to a different level

2:34.6

which is something that has really caught my eye throughout this process of the

2:39.3

Vikings focusing on keeping their players healthy and no one is more important to that process

2:46.0

than Zadarius Smith as also some news coming out just as I was sitting down to record this

2:52.2

which is that David Bock-Tieri for the Packers says that he's going to play.

2:57.2

And all of you are in luck because Tuesday morning left guard is coming back with Jeremiah Searles.
