We changed things up this week with Sonia and I returning to her hometown of Cove for the 2022,

If you haven't been following along, we have spent the last few weeks preparing for this, my first ever road race in Ireland.

And things took a twist last week when I tested positive for COVID.

This through the whole, through the whole plan out the window.

The idea of even travelling to Ireland was cast into doubt.

Last time I spoke to you on here I was still testing positive with no symptoms.

On Tuesday I tested negative and all of the symptoms imaginable crashed in upon me for a solid four days.

You can probably still hear it in my voice.

So there was basically no training done for this race in the final week.

Just rest.

You know, I like to be fit and healthy, so the best way I know is to just get out there and run.

Running was an outlet for me to, I guess, feel good about myself and take out some of the angers that were going on in my life.
