You know, I like to be fit and healthy, so the best way I know is to just get out there and run.

Running was an outlet for me to, I guess, feel good about myself and take out some of the angers that were going on in my life.

An absolutely jam-packed week for you, Sonia, culminating in Union Athletics,

club Jessica Hull,

smashing an Australian record on Saturday night,

and then back home in Ireland with the Morton Games

and more local events than you can shake a stick at,

including Clontarf Half, the Great Ross Run, Ackle and many more.

It's just so much happening. I wanted to ask you

though, Sonia, what is it like in a week leading up to a record attempt? Something that's billed

as a record attempt like this for Jessica. What do you do in the lead up to something like that?

Yeah, well, it was kind of a strange one. I've never really been involved in anything like that before because it wasn't a proper

track meet.

It was just one race.

Yeah.

So, I mean, there was a lot of people working behind the scenes, particularly one of our kind

of behind the scenes guys, Michael Bergman, or Bergey, as he's known, he was chasing

around all the paperwork all week. And then I had to get in touch with a lot of people from,

or some people from Australia who would know the rules and the ins and outs, because, you know,
