It's Monday, December 19th, and Christmas is just around the corner, and the bowl game is a little bit further around a corner.

But Christmas from a recruiting standpoint arrives on on Wednesday and I'm not sure that everybody's going to look at that way.

Nordame is going to sign a very good class, a class filled with four star players more than any in the history of Notre Dame since we started putting stars on players.

But we do not expect two players that are currently on that list to sign with Notre Dame Peyton Bowen,

the safety, and Jaden Lamar, the running back.

Pete, unless you know something different from what I'm saying here,

we don't expect those guys to end up in Nournames class.

No, and it's like those are two completely different stories, just so we're clear.

I think sometimes when there are a couple of decommitments, at the same time we link them together as like a trend.

This Peyton Bowen is somebody

they absolutely needed to keep in the class that I don't think they're going to be able to

Jane Lamar is not um so if they lose Bowen to Oklahoma that will really hurt um if they lose

Lamar to Oregon uh I don't think that will have a huge impact on kind of where Notre Dame is as a program because they've recruited the running back position really well.

Like they've over recruited the running back position.

So it, you know, it seems like they will probably finish with 26 verbal commitments.

I'm sorry, 24 verbal commitments.

It will be a top 10 class, but on a top five class, I think that to me, if you're going to

pick out like a narrative theme, it would be, it would actually be the success of Marcus Freeman recruiting into

pretty extreme headwinds in the recruiting landscape more than it would be the guys that they
